I want to make you all aware of an opportunity to listen to one of the
most experienced entrepreneur in the Abilene area, James Porter. He will be speaking at the March ReInvent Abilene gathering, next Thursday, March 12th. From the ReInvent Abilene mass email (shoot an email to
Tom.Dolan@ttu.edu if you want to be on this list):
We'll be taking a Venture Capitalist look at business plans. James Porter will present plans, the audience will grade them and James will talk about how Venture Capitalist may grade in a different fashion! The idea is for us to get inside the Venture Capitalist head to try to understand what is of importance from his perspective.

ReInvent Abilene is a great event. Tom Dolan has done some great things with it for the Abilene entrepreneurship community, not to mention, getting speakers like Jim Porter. If you decide to make the trek, be sure to let me know!
Wow, this looks really cool. I wish there was something like this here in Denton. If it wasn't such a drive, I'd come out.
