Auctioning my Google Chrome comic book

Google sent me two copies of the Google Chrome comic book. It's a beautifully printed version of the lengthy comic strip explaining Chrome that you've probably seen online, and it's pretty rare. Following in the footsteps of others, this post marks the start of an auction for one of these rare Chrome comic books. TechCrunch's auction ended up at over $1500, so don't be shy! The auction will end at 10pm Mountain Time on Wednesday, September 24. Once this auction is over, I might sell the second one here too - we'll see. The highest bidder will need to bring me a tax-deductible check made out to the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Colorado. We'll then donate the money together. To place a bid, just enter the amount you're willing to pay in the comments to this post. Please read the other comments and be sure your bid is higher than any others before bidding. Regular non-bidding comments are welcome too! Win or lose, I hope you'll consider having your company join the 20+ awesome companies in Colorado that have already joined the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Colorado. Socialthing did, and when it recently sold to AOL, a good chunk of cash went right to the foundation and is being put to work at non-profits right here in our community. Here's how it works. You pledge 1% of the equity in your company to EFCo so that giving back is totally integrated into the very fabric of your company. If you'd like to learn more about having your company join EFCo, please contact me. Let the bidding begin!

Ugg Australia has recruited designers like Manolo Blahnik, Carlos Falchi, Rebecca Minkoff, Rafe pictured, and more to design high-end versions of the brand's trademark boots for its seventh annual Art & Sole auction.

I have to assume these will be filed under unaffordable (which is good - more money for St. Jude!), but I'll still be going to the pickyouruggs.com Web site on December 1 to window shop and see what these designers have cooked up.

I am trying to picture what I would do to make these high end... Real Italian leather? A pearl brooch? Other expensive ingredients and sparkles? Maybe the differences won't be that extreme, but I hope each designer puts his personal touch on the shoe. I'm certain at the very least you'll be able to pick out which Uggs came from Betsey Johnson (UGG Classic tall 5815 boots, please!).

The event is likely to inspire as many interesting Ugg knockoffs as there are regular Ugg knockoffs, so it is possible we'll see something like this around town next year. It's not only a great event for charity but probably also a good move to keep Uggs alive and relevant... especially with the number of people who'd like to see them disappear for good!UGG boots on sale!

I will of course keep wearing my Uggs because A) I have them and B) they are warm, but if your kid asks Santa for Where the Wild Things Are UGG boots... I feel for ya.

Love 'em... they are so cute and comfy!!!!
I've read a few reviews where people are saying to order a size too small, or rather a size below their regular size.... this I do not agree with, I'm a size 9, I ordered a size 9, and they fit perfectly, an 8 would have for sure been too small, so I would reccomend that you stick with your usual shoe size when ordering these boots...
p.s. this is my 3rd pair of UGG boots, I just can't get enough of 'em hahaha. My first pair I ordered from the actual UGG website ugg boots sale, and I was charged over $80 in shipping, my second pair (ugg classic tall 5815 boots) I ordered from pickyouruggs.com and the shipping was free, and the boots were just as great as the ones I ordered from the UGG site. So if you're lookin' to buy some ADORABLE UGGS I would say go for it and do it from www.pickyouruggs.com
